Coji-Coji ( Japanese コ ジ コ ジ , Koji Koji) is a manga series by Momoko Sakura that appeared in Japan from 1994 to 1997. In it, she tells everyday stories in the fairytale world of the extraterrestrial creature Coji-Coji and his friends. The manga was adapted as the anime television series Sakura Momoko Gekijō Koji Koji ( さ く ら も も こ 劇場 コ ジ コ ジ ) and implemented in the form of a video game and a slot machine.
content
Coji-Coji is about the everyday experiences of the extraterrestrials Coji-Coji with her friends and at school. The main characters are:
- Coji-Coji ( コ ジ コ ジ ): Coji-Coji is an extraterrestrial living being and about 1.5 billion years old. It doesn't know if it's a man or a woman. It can fly and likes to eat manju and drink green tea . It always does everything at its own pace. The specialty of the Coji-Coji is aping.
- Jirō-kun ( 次 郎君 ): Jirô-kun is Hangyodori. Hangyodori means 50% fish, 50% bird, but it can neither swim nor fly. Although he is Hangyodori, he eats rice .
- Korosuke ( コ ロ 助 ): Korosuke is a snowman . He can't ride, but he can fly and unite with another snowman. He is very fond of beautiful women. He works as a dishwasher.
Anime adaptation
Directed by Jun Takagi , Nippon Animation created a 101-episode anime television series. The artistic direction lay with Satoru Suzuki and the responsible producer was Kenichiro Hayafune . The series aired on TBS in Japan from October 4, 1997 to September 25, 1999 .

The music for the series was composed by Hideo Shimazu. The opening credits are Coji-Coji Ginza by Hoff Dylan and the credits are underlaid with Pocket Cowboy by Denki Groove.
