The Coleco Telstar Arcade is a stationary game console released by Coleco in 1977 in Japan, North America and Europe. It is the most advanced console in the Coleco Telstar series .

construction

The game console is built high so that it can be played on three sides: the sides can be used for specific games.

  • Road Race: one side with steering wheel and gear lever
  • Quick Draw: a side with a light gun for shooting games
  • Pong: a side with a rotary control , as found on every Telstar game console

Games

In contrast to the previous models, the games were activated by game modules . These modules are plugged into the module slot of the console. 4 modules were published:

  • Module # 1 (sold together with the console): Road Race for one player, tennis for 2–4 players and Quick-Draw, a war game, for 1–2 players.
  • Module # 2: Hockey for 2–4 players, tennis for 2–4 players, handball for 1–2 players and target , a single player football target game .
  • Module # 3: Bonus Pinball (Pinball) for 1–2 players, Shooting Gallery and Shoot the Bear (shooting games) and Deluxe Pinball (Pinball) for 1–2 players.
  • Module # 4 (single player games only): Naval Battle (shooting game), Blast-Away (war game) and Speedball ( pong game).
