Colleen Hoover

Colleen Hoover (born December 11, 1979 in Sulfur Springs , Texas ) is a bestselling author for the New York Times.

Hoover is the New York Times best-selling author of twenty novels and short stories. The novels fall into the categories of New Adult, Young Adult and Psychological Thriller . She published her first novel Slammed in January 2012. The German version is titled Because I Love Layken and was published in November 2013.

Life

Hoover was born in Sulfur Springs, Texas in 1979. Her parents are Vannoy Fite and Eddie Fennell. She grew up in Saltillo, Texas and graduated from high school there in 1998. In 2000 she married Heath Hoover, with whom she has three sons. Hoover graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce with a degree in social work .

In November 2011, Hoover began writing her first novel Because I Love Layken , which she initially refused to publish. After receiving 5 stars from a well-known book blogger Maryse Black, sales soared and the novel was added to the New York Times bestseller list. In 2014, the second part of the Layken and Will series was published.
