ColorSync

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

ColorSync refers to Apple's color management system , which works on the operating system level.

ColorSync uses ICC profiles that are used by a Color Management Module (CMM) for color conversions. The SystemCMM of ColorSync 2.0, the "LinoColorCMM", was developed by Linotype Hell AG and partly also by Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG. The Windows color management system ICM ( Windows 98 , Windows 2000 ) has also been using a CMM from Heidelberg, the "HeidelbergCMM", as its SystemCMM since Windows 98.
