Comment ça va
Comment ça va is a bilingual pop song by the Dutch boy group The Shorts . The piece was written by the Dutch composer Eddy de Heer and published by EMI in February 1983 . In the same year an album of the same name was released there.
The song tells about a Dutch boy who meets a French girl in Paris . They don't come together because they can't communicate. The piece is sung half in Dutch and half in French.
The single sold four million times in different language versions, reached the top ten in several European countries and number one in the charts in the Netherlands. In the same year The Shorts had the bilingual song Je suis, do it as a follow-up song .
