CompAir is a company that manufactures compressed air and gas systems. The company employs 1700 people worldwide and has production facilities in the United Kingdom , Germany and the People's Republic of China, as well as sales and distribution offices in over 100 countries. The company's headquarters are in Redditch , England .

history

The origins of CompAir go back to two British companies, Holman and BroomWade. Holman was founded in 1801 and initially manufactured pressure vessels until it finally concentrated on compressors at the end of the 19th century. Production of portable compressors began in 1964. The BroomWade company, however, manufactured machines for the wood industry at the end of the 19th century. From the 20th century, the company produced compressors, which were traded as the company's trademark. In 1968 Holman and BroomWade merged and eventually changed their names to CompAir. In 1985 CompAir was bought by Siebe .

In 2002 CompAir was taken over by Alchemy Partners . In 2008, Alchemy sells CompAir to Gardner Denver .

Products

The products have different designs. The company manufactures screw compressors, mobile compressors , centrifugal compressors and reciprocating compressors , among other things .
