Companhia Aeronáutica Paulista

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Companhia Paulista Aeronáutica , also known as CAP or Paulista , was a Brazilian aircraft manufacturer in São Paulo and was founded in 1942. In the same year he took over the Empresa Aeronáutica Ypiranga and with it the most important product, the CAP-4 Paulistinha . Despite the strong sales of this aircraft (nearly 800 built), the company ran into financial difficulties in 1948 and was forced to close in 1949. The remaining assets were nationalized, and eventually taken over by Neiva .
