Indústria Aeronáutica Neiva
Indústria Aeronáutica Neiva was founded in 1954 by José de Carlos de Barros Neiva in Rio de Janeiro . Originally gliders were supposed to be made. After acquiring the rights to the production of the CAP-4 Paulistinha in 1956, motor-powered aircraft were also manufactured. In the same year the company moved to Botucatu . On March 11, 1980 Neiva became a subsidiary of Embraer while maintaining a partial self-employment . In 1982 the EMB 200 Ipanema aircraft was developed, a purely Brazilian agricultural aircraft, which in 2005 was the first aircraft in the world to be approved for the use of alcohol as fuel. At the same time, many Embraer samples and components are manufactured at Neiva.
