History and construction

The BN-1 was developed based on a requirement for the Brazilian aero clubs and, despite its good performance, was only built four times. The aircraft was a conventionally designed single-seat shoulder-wing monoplane, the fuselage and wings of which consisted of a wooden frame. The wing leading edges and the surfaces were planked with plywood, the rest of the aircraft covered with fabric. The single-seat, closed cockpit was in front of the wing. The machine had a skid.
