The Neiva N 621 Universal is a propeller-driven training and ground attack aircraft produced by the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Indústria Aeronáutica Neiva , now a subsidiary of Embraer .
Development and history
The prototype first flew on April 29, 1966. The aircraft is designed as a low- wing aircraft . The two pilots sit next to each other. The nose wheel landing gear is retracted hydraulically.
The Brazilian Air Force initially ordered 150 and later another 28 machines under the designation T-25 . Ten more planes went to the Chilean armed forces. A further developed version, called YT-25B Universal II , first flew on October 22, 1978, but did not get beyond the prototype stage. The T-25 was eventually replaced by the Embraer EMB 312 .
