Companhia do Pagoda

Companhia do Pagoda , abbreviated to Cia. do Pagode (German Society of the Pagode ) is a Brazilian Axé band.

Career

Companhia do Pagoda was founded in Bahia in the early 1990s. Her greatest successes include the dance songs “Dança do Maxixe”, “Psiu Psiu” and “Na Boquinha da Garrafa”. In the late 1990s, the group broke up and the former musicians pursued other careers. The lead singer and band founder Diumbanda, actually Zacarias Higino de Jesus Filho, worked for the military police in the state of Bahia since 1982 . Sara Verônica, a dancer who converted to evangelical faith, switched to politics and ran for the mayor's office in Salvador da Bahia .
