Composite Technology Center or CTC GmbH (An Airbus Company) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Airbus Operations GmbH or Airbus , based in Stade . CTC GmbH develops cross-sector lightweight construction technologies and holistic lightweight construction solutions for industrial use. The focus is on innovative technologies for the industrial and automated processing of composites and multi-material compounds for aviation. The company is active worldwide in the field of lightweight construction and is certified according to EN9100 and ISO14001 . history
CTC GmbH was founded in 2001 and moved in 2004 from a former Bundeswehr maintenance hall on the premises of the Airbus plant here to the Stade Technology Center. The reason for the founding was an increasing need for application-related research and development in the field of composites and a decoupling of these activities from the operational production processes at the Airbus plant in Stade in order to be a leading technology center in order to bring about agile, flexible and cross-industry innovations in lightweight construction.
