Computeria

Computerias are non-commercial institutions in Switzerland and Austria that instruct people over the age of 50 to use computers. They are part of informal adult education .

The name Computeria is a word from the word computer and cafeteria . The first computeria was opened in St. Gallen . Currently (February 2018) there are already over 50 computerias in Switzerland and over 35 in Tyrol (Austria). Computerias with Macintosh computers are also known as Maceria .

The names Computeria® and Maceria® have been registered trademarks in Switzerland since 2014 .
