Career

Conan studied drama at the University of Newcastle. He gained his first acting experience in front of the camera in the comedy program Super Hubert Cancer Fund Raiser . A few years later he wrote some pieces for the Sydney Dance Company , whose director he once met by chance. While at the Sydney Dance Company , Stevens won the Australian Professional Wrestling Championship , both tag team and heavyweight titles. He was a professional wrestler for twelve years.

After his wrestler career, he devoted himself again to acting. He went to Thailand and played in several films, mostly in smaller roles, such as a bodyguard or a thug. He was known to a wider audience as Gregor Clegane in the first season of Game of Thrones and as Sedullus in Spartacus: Blood and Sand . In the first part of the Hobbit trilogy The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey he played the orc Bolg , in the third part The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies the master of the fortress Dol Guldur .
