The medical magazine Concept Ophthalmologie (original spelling "CONCEPT Ophthalmologie") is aimed at ophthalmologists in the practice and clinic. It appears nine times a year.
The editors, all of whom are specialists in medicine, see the magazine as "the journalistic answer to the question of how the modern ophthalmologist is positioned in a health market that is in upheaval". At the beginning of 2006, the focus was more on the perspective of individual practices and the interests of freelance professionals , but the spectrum of content was later expanded to include the clinic perspective . Independent of this, questions of local supply and the application of the best medicine are also dealt with.
