Conde (Bahia)
Conde is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Bahia . On April 1, 2007, Conde had a population of 22,034 people with a total area of 951 km². In addition to the main town of Conde, there is also the fishing town of Sitio do Conde , 6 km away , which belongs to the same district.
The Linha Verde road connected Conde and Sitio do Conde to Salvador da Bahia , 162 km away , and has since developed into a tourist center in the region. In addition to the wonderful sandy beaches, there is a well-developed tourist infrastructure with guest houses and restaurants. A local attraction is the approx. 30 meter high dune of Cavalo Russo. In addition, approx. 12 km away is the small seaside resort of Itariri , which is located at the mouth of the Itariri river of the same name. The place is also called Barra do Itariri .
