The Linha Verde is a privately built and chargeable road in Brazil . It partially replaces the state road BA-099 in the state of Bahia , which connects the place Lauro de Freitas near Salvador with the beaches and places in the north of the state of Bahia. In the first section this road is also called Estrada do Coco , because there are many coconut plantations in this region. Some of the most famous places on Linha Verde are:

The Linha Verde ends at the state border between Bahia and the neighboring state of Sergipe .
