Guarajuba is a small fishing village in the Brazilian state of Bahia , about 42 km north of Salvador da Bahia on the Atlantic Ocean and directly on the toll road Linha Verde and belongs to the district of Camaçari . In the village there are above all many guarded residential areas, the so-called condominios , which also extend along the beach. The postcode of the place is 42820-000 and the area code +55 (71).

tourism

In the off-season (autumn and winter) the place is only occasionally frequented by tourists living in Bahia . In the main season (spring and summer) many tourists find their way into the place. Thanks to a good bus connection and the nearby federal road, the place is particularly interesting for local weekend tourists.

The place has many hotels and so-called pousadas , a kind of guesthouse in different price ranges and - especially on the beach - a variety of restaurants with typical Brazilian food. The restaurants in the small town also offer American and Italian food such as pizza. Especially on the beach, the food in the restaurants is often local and, of course, due to the proximity to the coast, fish dishes are also available. There are also two small supermarkets in the village.
