Connection e. V. is a German association based in Offenbach am Main that supports deserters . The members are close to the peace movement and work on a voluntary basis.

The association initially supported several thousand deserters seeking asylum during the Balkan War . During the Iraq war , American soldiers who fled to Iraq because of their transfer were supported . There are also contacts to groups in Israel , Turkey , Eritrea , USA , Algeria , Latin America and Africa .

Connection calls for conscientious objection in war zones to be recognized as a reason for asylum, for example in 2009 for André Shepherd .
