Conradin-Kreutzer-Tafel

The Conradin-Kreutzer-Tafel is an award of the state of Baden-Württemberg for associations of amateur music .

The award was donated by the state in 1998 on the initiative of Prime Minister Erwin Teufel and is named after the composer Conradin Kreutzer (1780–1849), who was born in Messkirch . Amateur music associations organized in the Baden-Württemberg State Music Association can apply to the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research and Art for the award of the award via their umbrella organization. Amateur music associations that are not organized in the National Music Association can submit their application directly to the Ministry.

The Conradin-Kreutzer-Tafel is awarded in Baden-Württemberg to those music associations that have existed for at least 150 years and have made artistic, popular and cultural services to the care of amateur music. In addition, it is a prerequisite that they have the Pro-Musica plaque , which is awarded by the Federal President for associations of instrumental music-making, or the Zelter plaque for choir associations. Since then, the Conradin-Kreutzer-Tafel has been presented with a certificate by a representative of the Baden-Württemberg state government as part of the annual state music festival. The board was designed by the designer Roland Kühn from Esslingen / Neckar on behalf of the Ministry of Culture. Almost 600 musical associations have received awards since 1998. In 2014 another 49 clubs were added.
