Karl Albrecht Magen (born August 10, 1929 in Breslau ; † December 3, 2006 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a company director and local politician from Frankfurt am Main.

After the expulsion , Albrecht Magen lived with his parents in Thuringia , where he joined the CDU . He began his law studies in Jena . After fleeing to the western occupation zones in 1948, he continued his studies in Frankfurt am Main , where he completed his first and second state exams and doctorate .

After an exchange course in the USA , he initially worked as an assistant to the board at Farbwerke Hoechst . He then joined the Rütgerswerke in 1960 as general counsel , where he was appointed to the board as labor director from 1971 to 1991 .

From 1964 to 1991 he was an honorary representative of the Rütgerswerke in the legal and tax committee of the Association of the Chemical Industry (VCI), from 1985 to 1991 he was chairman of this committee. From 1968 he was also active in the tax committee of the association and from 1977 to 1991 as a member of the VCI main committee.

After leaving the board of the Rütgerswerke, he became managing director at VCI in 1992, where he took over the management of the legal department. In 1994 he left the association on his 65th birthday.

From 1989 to 1993 he was a member of the city council of the city of Frankfurt am Main and held the duties of an honorary city ​​council from 1993 until his death . The focus of his political work was on the subject of the integration of immigrants. In 2000 he was appointed head of the integration department and was responsible for the office for multicultural affairs and for the office of the local foreign representation . Since the establishment of the integration advisory board of the Hessian state government in 2000, he was also a member of this body.

Furthermore, Magen was active in the social field at Rotary Germany, Frankfurt am Main Paulskirche district, where he contributed his expertise to the work of the association.

From 1991 to 1999 he was President (then Honorary President) of the Steuben-Schurz-Gesellschaft e. V. For this commitment he was awarded the highest medal that the American armed forces bestow on civilians.
