The Consumentenbond ( CB ) is the largest Dutch consumer organization based in The Hague , which examines and compares goods and services from different providers.
The non-governmental organization has the task of informing consumers about their purchase decisions and giving them independent advice as well as educating them about consumer rights.
The financing is mainly done through the contributions of almost half a million subscribers to the consumer magazine Consumentengids and other publications in which there is no commercial advertising.
The organization was a founding member of the European Consumer Association (BEUC) , is a member of Consumers International , participates in international comparative product tests as part of the umbrella organization International Consumer Research & Testing (ICRT) and also cooperates with the German Stiftung Warentest .
