Contributions to North American Ethnology
The Contributions to North American Ethnology were an American book series with contributions to the ethnology of North America. It comprises a total of nine volumes (I-VII, IX), Volume VIII has not been published. Volume II is two parts, while Volume V is three parts. It was published by the Department of the Interior and the US Geographical and Geological Survey of the Rocky Mountain Region . It appeared since 1877 in Washington, DC (Gov. Pr. Off.) Under the direction of John Wesley Powell (1834-1902). After 1879 the series was published under the supervision of the Bureau of American Ethnology .
