The Convoy Range is a broad mountain range with mostly flattened mountain peaks in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It stretches from the Fry Saddle to the Mackay Glacier . On the east flank it drops off steeply, while the west flank ends gently towards the Cambridge Glacier .
The mountain range was named by participants in the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958) after the vehicle association that was used at McMurdo Sound from 1956 to 1957 . Some peaks of the Convoy Range bear the names of the vehicles.
