Copeia is a scientific journal in the field of ichtyology and herpetology and the publication organ of the American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists . It appears four times a year in February, May, August and December. In Copeia scientific papers are published, the fish , amphibians or reptiles have on the subject. The magazine was founded in 1913 by John Treadwell Nichols and named after Edward Drinker Cope , an eminent American paleontologist and fossil collector.
