Corfe Mullen is a village in south west Dorset in England. In 2001 10,147 people lived here.
General
The name comes from the old English "corf" which means something like to cut; cut through something and the old French word "molin" which means mill . The name comes from the old watermill on the River Stour .

Corfe Mullen is close to the Bournemouth / Poole metropolitan area . Poole can be reached by car in around 15 minutes, and there is also a direct bus connection with line 11 which takes around 21 minutes.
