The Corniche des Crêtes , also known as the Route des Crêtes , is a picturesque, narrow and winding coastal road from Cassis to La Ciotat on the French Mediterranean coast . It was opened to traffic in 1969 . The route leads along the Falaises ( steep coast ) up to Cap Canaille (the highest cliff in France at 362 meters above sea level) and on to Grande Tête (399 m).

A junction leads to the Sémaphore , a signal station built 328  m above sea level from the time of Napoleon .

The Corniche des Crêtes offers views of the Mediterranean, including across to the Calanques of Cassis. The route is around 15 kilometers long.
