The Correio da Manhã [ku'ʀɐju dɐ mɐ'ɲɐ̃] , (short form CM ; Eng . Morning Courier ) is a Portuguese tabloid newspaper that appears daily . The CM was founded in March 1979 as the first major newspaper after the Carnation Revolution in 1974.
The editorial office of the newspaper is based in Lisbon in the Benfica district , belongs to the Cofina media group and has the character of a boulevard . According to the Portuguese media institute APCT, Correio da Manhã is currently the highest-circulation, paid newspaper in Portugal with an average of 109,600 copies sold per day (2014).
