CosIng database
The CosIng database (from " cos metic Ing redients") is a freely accessible database of ingredients, the ingredients of cosmetics are. It is maintained by the Directorate General Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs of the European Commission .
When it was launched in 2008, the database contained over 15,000 entries. It contains information from the following sources:
- Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 on cosmetic products
- Directive 76/768 / EEC on cosmetic products
- 96/335 / EC: Commission decision of May 8, 1996 establishing a list and a common nomenclature of the ingredients of cosmetic products or amendment of February 9, 2006
- Opinions on cosmetic ingredients of the Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (Scientific Committee for Consumer Safety)
The database contains the identifiers ( INN -) name, INCI , CAS number and EC number for the ingredients .
