Coteaching

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Coteaching means that two or more people as teachers are jointly responsible for teaching.

They vary their participation, depending on the content and methodological preparation, the current situation in the learning group and their different skills, as flexibly as possible between leading, supporting and observing the classroom activities .

Through their joint work “elbow to elbow with the other”, successful teaching processes can arise for the students on the one hand and, on the other hand, advantageous opportunities for the teachers in the situation or perspectives that can be evaluated afterwards arise.

Coteaching can be a profitable form of participation in lessons , both in school internships and in traineeships .

Coteaching differs from team teaching by the different in this case expertise of tutors. Place greater responsibility on the more experienced teacher. Inexperienced teachers can gain experience with support. The experienced teachers help you learn to teach and cope with difficult situations through intervening action and reflective communication.
