Country Music DJ Hall of Fame

The Country Music DJ Hall of Fame is an American hall of fame that honors country DJs and radio hosts for special achievements in the field of country music with the recording.

history

The Country Music DJ Hall of Fame was founded in 1974 by Chuck Chellman. Chellman himself was involved in the music industry and realized that there were no recognitions or awards for radio personalities. Together with Don Pierce, Chellman began setting up the Hall of Fame. In 1974 the Hall of Fame was founded in Nashville , Tennessee and is now operated by the Country Radio Broadcasters Company. The first to be honored in 1975 were Eddie Hill , Nelson King and Grant Turner . In 1986, 1987 and 1997 there were no recorded persons.

In 2001 the Radio Hall of Fame was founded, which honors personalities of the radio in general. She belongs to the Country DJ Hall of Fame.
