County class
County class is the name given to ship classes in the British Royal Navy :
- First, the term county class was used for the ten Monmouth-class armored cruisers that entered service from 1903; Since the following six armored cruisers of the Devonshire class were clearly named after counties, but these differed significantly from the first group, preference was given to naming the two groups after the type ships.
- The next County Class (1924) consisted of thirteen heavy cruisers , which from 1924 to keel was laid and put into service in 1927 and five names of the first County class resumed. The thirteen ships are divided into the seven Kent-class cruisers , the four London-class and the two Norfolk-class .
- The last County class (1959) consisted of eight destroyers, which were laid down from 1959 and entered service from 1962.
All three classes included an HMS Kent .
