from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Husum publishing group is the name given to the merger of eight publishers that are managed as an economic unit with the Husum printing and publishing company in Husum . The company also has a fully expanded offset printing plant and a museum with an integrated historical shop from 1890, the Husum Christmas House .

history

1973 was established in Husum as the successor company of the Friedr. Petersen, book printer and publisher, with which the Hamburg Reading Book Publishers was already connected, founded the Husum printing and publishing company. While the area of regional literature was initially expanded in addition to the Hamburg booklets , two years later there was an expansion to include the academic series of Matthiesen Verlag and the regional program of Hansa Verlag, which is based on publications by the Karl May Society . After the unification, the program of the Verlag der Nation was taken over in 1998 and five years later the publisher's name and parts of the program of the Verlag der Kunst Dresden followed, which was accompanied by a strengthening of the program, which was geared towards the visual arts and the state of Saxony . With the takeover of the Turmschreiber Verlag, which is closely associated with the Munich tower writers, in 2009 , the consideration of Bavarian regional literature was also increased. The Husum publishing group has a total of over 2,500 titles available.
