Coupé is a German-language magazine with a focus on entertainment and eroticism . The target group are men between the ages of 16 and 49. In terms of content, besides erotic, it is primarily about entertainment, adventure, technology and cars. The coupé appears monthly on the last Friday of the month.

The first edition of the Coupé appeared in 1988 as a free motor vehicle advertising paper, later as a Zeitgeist magazine and business paper and finally as an erotic-heavy “young illustrated magazine” by Klaus Helbert Verlag until 2001 in Wiesbaden , then until 2004 in Hamburg. The magazine has been part of the Bauer publishing group since 2005 . The circulation in 2000 was around 500,000 copies. In the first quarter of 2006 the circulation was 88,000 copies, with a downward trend. The magazine's website has been converted into a portal for paid sex videos and webcams. By the fourth quarter of 2007, the circulation had dropped to 54,302. Since May 1, 2009, the IVW has only run Coupé magazine passively as title 2327. Until March 2011 it was published by the Bauer subsidiary Inter Publish GmbH , and since then with a new concept by Pabel Moewig Verlag GmbH in Rastatt .

Since the statistics of the German press council began in 1986, “Coupé” has been the third most reprimanded print media after BILD and BZ of the Springer press with 18 complaints .
