mode
All 14 Ligue Magnus teams take part in the Coupe de la Ligue , and last year's relegated team, like the second-placed division 1 player, will have a place in the League Cup. First, the 16 teams are divided into four groups so that teams from the same region compete against each other. The teams each play a game against their group opponents. The first two in each group then qualify for the quarter-finals. The quarter-finals as well as the semi-finals are played both in the first and second leg. The goal difference is decisive for progress. If this is balanced, an overtime, if necessary a penalty shootout, is added to the second game. The final will be played in a single game on neutral ground.
