The Couplet-AG (Couplet-ArterhaltungsGesellschaft) is a Bavarian music cabaret group that has set itself the goal of creating the traditional song form of the Bavarian couplet in connection with cabaret.

Act

Couplet-AG is known in southern Germany and Austria for its live cabaret programs, which they show to the public on cabaret and cabaret stages, but also at festivals and major official events as well as in radio and television broadcasts.

history

The group was founded in 1991 as a three-person cast under the name “Der Couplet-Wahnsinn” as part of the “white-blue cabaret” - a cabaret stage in the Munich “Wirtshaus zum Isartal”. In 1993 the line-up was expanded to its current form and the premiere of the first live program “Together we are unbearable” took place. This was followed by the program "And the white sausage lures forever" in April 1995. In 1996 the group was renamed to the current name "Couplet-AG", whereby the AG stands for "Species Conservation Society". That year the first live CD was released.
