The Cova des Fum ("Smoke Cave") is an archaeological site on Formentera . It is located on the cliff above Sa Cala , on the northwest side of La Mola. The cave can be reached both from the La Mola plateau and from Sa Cala. Archaeological finds date from different periods of Formentera from prehistory to the Middle Ages.
Although the cave has been known to the archaeological world since the 1960s, the first systematic excavations did not take place until 2012.
Other megalithic systems on Formentera are Ca na Costa and at Cap de Barbaria .
