Landscape protection area open spaces on the Aabach
The landscape protection area open spaces on the Aabach with 45.6 hectares is located northeast of Madfeld in the urban area of Brilon . The area was the 2002 district council of Hochsauerlandkreises with the landscape plan Hoppecketal as a conservation area designated (LSG). The Aabach itself is located in the adjacent nature reserve Aabachtal. The LSG consists of two sub-areas. The LSG is divided by the Aabachtal nature reserve . This nature reserve encloses the LSG on the west side. The Hoppecke - Diemel - Bergland nature reserve borders in the west .
The landscape protection area open spaces on the Aabach was designated as one of 22 landscape protection areas of type B, outskirts, landscape character in the urban area of Brilon. In the urban area there are also four type A landscape protection areas (general landscape protection) and 53 type C landscape protection areas (meadow valleys and significant extensive grassland) with different requirements.
These are open land areas with grassland which are located in the middle of the large wooded areas of the Madfeld Forest and the Fürstenberg Forest.
Protection purpose
The designation was carried out to ensure the diversity and uniqueness of the landscape in the vicinity of the localities and the old agricultural priority areas by keeping it open.
Legal regulations
How is the LSG into the other protected areas of type B Prohibition of afforestation and tree - Schmuckreisig- and nursery crops to apply. As in all type B landscape planning areas in the urban area of Brilon, there is a requirement to keep the LSG free from forest cover through agricultural use or through maintenance measures.
