description

The exact construction time of the Craigallion Lodge is not recorded, so that only the middle 19th century can be given as the construction period. It is in the north of the city not far from Tannoch Loch and the Craigmaddie Reservoir . The one-story building has a roughly L-shaped floor plan and consists of exposed ashlar stones. It ends with slate-covered gable and hip roofs . The entrance area faces east and is equipped with a canopy. In 1978 an application was made to the authorities to demolish one of the two chimneys and to add a garage. The request was granted in 1983 and 1984, respectively.
