Craigleith is a small island in the Firth of Forth off North Berwick in East Lothian . The name of the island is derived from the Gaelic Creag liath and means gray rock .
The island forms a chain with three other islands ( Bass Rock , Fidra and The Lamb ) in the Firth of Forth and is closest to the port of North Berwick. As on the other three islands, there are colonies of sea birds.
