Credit To The Nation is a British hip-hop - Act , which was successful in the 1990s in the United Kingdom and its biggest hit the 1994 Single Teenage sensation is.

biography

In addition to the rapper and singer MC Fusion aka Matty Hanson (actually Matthew David Hanson ), the dancers Tyrone and Kelvin completed the trio, which was founded in 1991, in the first few years. The first chart hit Call It What You Want , in which samples from Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit are processed, rose to number 57 in the UK charts in May 1993 . With the support of the band Chumbawamba , which is considered a supporter of Credit to the Nation, the single Enough Is Enough was created , which reached number 56 on the English charts in September of that year.

The act's biggest hit followed in March 1994, Teenage Sensation , which rose to # 24 in the UK. The accompanying album , Take Dis , reached number 20 in the UK charts, while the release Sowing the Seeds of Hatred was only two weeks in the single charts in May 1994 at number 72. Liar Liar (July 1995) and Tacky Love Song (September 1998), both of which were at number 60 during their two-week hit parade listing, were also small hits .

In 1998, Hanson temporarily dissolved his Credit to the Nation project. It wasn't until 2011 that the act was revived.
