Cream Puff
Creme Puff (born August 3, 1967 in Austin , Texas ; died August 6, 2005 there ) was an American domestic cat who died in 2005 at the age of 38 years and three days. According to the Guinness Book of Records, this made her the oldest known cat until her death.
Life
Creme Puff lived with his owner Jake Perry in Austin, Texas. He also owned Granpa, who, according to him, was born in Paris in 1964 and died at the age of 34 years and 2 months and was the previous record holder. Both cats more than doubled the life expectancy of a normal house cat (15–20 years). In some publications, a strange-looking diet consisting of bacon, eggs, broccoli and asparagus as well as coffee with cream is blamed for long life.
