Crescent Island (from English crescent , crescent moon, crescent moon ) is a small, roughly crescent-shaped island in the Bay of Isles on the north coast of South Georgia . It is located immediately south of Mollyhawk Island .
The American ornithologist Robert Cushman Murphy mapped them on his trip with the brig Daisy (1912-1913). Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations carried out a geodetic survey of the island and its naming from 1929 to 1930 .
