Crispulus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Crispulus († around 130? In Porto Torres in Sardinia ) was a Christian martyr and saint .

Crispulus was a companion of Gabinus ; both are said to have been converted to the Christian faith through the suffering of Antiochus von Sulci , who suffered martyrdom on the island of Sulci off the coast of Sardinia around 110 . They themselves were executed in Porto Torres (lat .: Turris ) under Emperor Hadrian for their beliefs. At this time the martyrdom of Crescentianus took place in Sardinia. It is possible, however, that the martyrdom of Crispulus and Gabinus can only be dated clearly after Hadrian.

The commemoration day of Crispulus and Gabinus is May 30th . Both are venerated as patrons in Sardinia.
