Cristiano Lupatelli (born June 21, 1978 in Perugia ) is a former Italian football player , on the position of goalkeeper .

Career

Cristiano Lupatelli began his career with Fidelis Andria . For the 1999/2000 season he moved to AS Roma , where he was a substitute goalkeeper for two seasons. For the 2001/02 season Lupatelli then moved to AC Chievo Verona , where he was the first goalkeeper at a Serie A club. After two seasons in Verona , he returned to AS Roma for the 2003/04 season.

After a disappointing season in which he did not play, Lupatelli moved to league rivals Fiorentina . Here he was able to earn a regular place straight away. In 2005 he was loaned to FC Parma in return for Sébastien Frey , and from 2006 to 2008 he played on loan at US Palermo . From 2008 to the end of June 2010 he was under contract with Cagliari Calcio . The goalkeeper then signed for FC Bologna .
