Cristina Chantal Cortellini (* 1972 from Zurich and Italy Riolo Terme RA) is a Swiss politician ( glp ). She was elected to the Zurich Cantonal Council in 2019. Since 2010 she has been the executive councilor in Dietlikon and head of the infrastructure and maintenance department. She is also on the cantonal board of the green liberals and, since 2015, president of the glp Frauen Kanton Zürich.

Professional background

Cristina Cortellini completed a commercial apprenticeship at the Allianz Group and is a business economist . After completing her apprenticeship, she worked in the insurance industry for a number of years, including at Zurich and Swiss Re . Alongside her job, she acquired a specialist certificate in the insurance industry. She was responsible for kitchen household product management at Migros Genossenschafts-Bund and then moved to Fairtrade Max Havelaar , where she works as Marketing and Communications Manager .

From 2007 to 2017 she was also the publisher of the online gastro guide www.gugusdada.com for child-friendly restaurants. published.

Political career

Cortellini Dietliker has been executive councilor and head of the infrastructure and maintenance department (civil engineering, road construction, water supply, urban drainage, energy supply, telecommunications infrastructure via fiber optics) since 2010. It implemented the first community-wide, area-wide P2P FTTH network in Switzerland. Cortellini is also a member of the board of directors of the waste water treatment plant ARA Neugut Dübendorf, board member of the group water supply Lattenbuck and vice-president of the Dietliker building authority.

Politically, Cortellini is not only at the green liberal party but also at the Dietlikon BVD civil association, a platform for opinion-forming at Dietliker community level.

In 2019, Cortellini was elected to the Zurich Cantonal Council, where she is also a member of the Commission for Economics and Taxes WAK. On the occasion of the National Council elections in 2019, she was able to unite a good 47,000 votes as a candidate and move up 6 places.

Cortellini is also on the cantonal board of the green liberals and, since 2015, president of the glp Frauen Kanton Zürich.

In all of her political activities, she advocates for a population-friendly, business-friendly and yet sustainable framework, for innovation and start-ups and, in particular, for the rapid implementation of the Zurich Innovation Park on the Dübendorf airfield with a works airfield. She also advocates implementation of infrastructure projects that is compatible with the population and the landscape; such as for a stretch of underpass for the cross-generational Brüttener tunnel line project.

Since 2009, Cortellini has been president of the FS “Fulminant Sepsis in Childhood” association for the benefit of the Zurich Children's Hospital project. In addition, she is a founding member and youth delegate of the Lions Club Zurich-Airport, where she was President in 2009/2010.
