Crostini ( Pl. From crostino = diminutive of crosta , "crust") are a dish in Italian cuisine .

The basic recipe is that slices of country bread made from wheat flour or, depending on the region, other types of grain are rubbed with garlic and drizzled with olive oil before consumption .
