The Crozier Island ( Danish Crozier Ø ) is an island in Greenland .
Crozier Island is the southernmost of three islands in the Kennedy Channel , part of the Nares Strait that stretches between Canada's Ellesmere Island and northern Greenland . The other two islands are Franklin Island and Hans Island .
The uninhabited, vegetationless island is about 13 kilometers southwest of Franklin Island, and is only about 3.1 × 1.5 km in size. On its southwest side it rises to a height of 60 m.
The island was named after the Irish- born British naval officer Francis Crozier , the second in command after John Franklin on his expedition from 1845 to 1848 .
