Cru

Cru is a wine term and literally means "plant", but is used in the sense of "wine region" and is a predicate designation in France for higher classified regions and their wines .

Depending on the quality of the location, these are divided into crus classés . It often describes single-site wines and is usually used in conjunction with a quality designation such as Grand Cru or Premier Cru .
