Cules la Innobilarea Boabelor (abbreviated to "CIB" ) is a name for high-quality Romanian predicate wines . It stands for “ noble rotten Beerenauslese ” or “ outbreak ”.

CIB is classified within the Romanian classification DOC ( "Vin cu denumire de origine controlată" ).

CIB wines are made from grapes that are at least overripe, with the greater proportion being raisined dry berries. These are noble rot grapes that have been attacked by gray mold rot ( Botrytis cinerea ) on the vine . The fungus causes so-called noble rot on ripe grapes in autumn, especially when it is foggy and warm and humid weather . The fungus makes the skin of the berries permeable so that it can dry out, which naturally concentrates the sugar. The berries are picked by hand during the grape harvest .

The must sugar content for CIB wine must be at least 260 grams per liter, which corresponds to a must weight of around 108 degrees Oechsle .
